How are you now?

After that unforgettable day of awakening during the Christ Emphasis Week, how are you now?

It’s been a month after that you attended the CEW and joined in the celebration of the salvation that we received from God through Jesus Christ. Perhaps, you might be one of those who decided to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Maybe for some reasons you did not come forward or maybe you spent time with the counselors. Just the same, God knows your mind and he feels what you feel inside your heart.

I understand it’s so easy to lose that awesome feeling of renewal. And that moment of closeness and reverence to God could be easily swallowed by your busy class schedules, examinations, school fee concerns, and family issues. You might have thought that CEW is over, the awesome feeling of being in Christ is gone, and so I better go back to where I was and move on from there.

Wait…don’t be ruled by your feelings and be taken by the CEW season. God is not through with you yet. Because you jumped into the Christian bandwagon, better ride on and finish your journey, your life long journey with God.

The great good news is, that when you received and believed in Jesus Christ you have been given the right to become the child of God (John 1:12). Is this not a priceless heritage that you gained from God? This is one legacy that you must pursue as long as you live.

Take time to join on-going Bible study groups and fellowships in the campus today.

There are on going Follow-up Sessions every Friday 4:00-5:00 PM at the gazebos and classrooms.

Three Simple Steps on How to Grow More in Christ

The 1st Semester 2010 CEW is over and we are all rejoicing because of the more than 1,000 persons who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The seed of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ has been planted into their hearts. The big question now is “What’s next?”

Listed and explained below are three small steps that would help you grow more in your faith in Christ.

1. Join a Christian fellowship

Like a burning ember, you need to stay where the heap of embers are so that your fire will not go out and you will not grow cold. Standing all alone you will surely loose the warmth of your first decision for Christ. Go, seek and join the Christian fellowship that would help nurture the salvation that you have. For sure there are lots of questions about the Christian that is going on in your mind.

2. Join a Christian fellowship

Commit yourself to devote time for prayer and Bible reading and reflection. The feeding of your spirit must not be dependent solely on other people, such as those from the Christian groups. You have to do something for yourself like devoting a time for prayer and Bible devotion.

3. Share the Good News!

One way of growing in faith is sharing about how your decision to receive Jesus Christ created an impact in your life. At this early stage of your renewed faith, sharing the Good News need not be so dramatic or as Biblical as it should be. Just share how you feel now that you have Christ’s salvation.

Seriously consider following these small steps and I am very sure that you are on the right path towards achieving maturity in your faith in God.
